UX, UI and design systems
Product design for web and mobile apps
This is for founders who need a product designed before it's built, and for teams whose app has grown screen by screen into something hard to use. We cover research, UX and UI, prototypes and design systems.
Shruti Mour leads design at Pulore. She has 5+ years of designing web and mobile products, for clients including Stanford University and Fashion Nova, and writes about UX on Medium. Because the same studio builds software, our designs come with the states and edge cases engineers need.
How a design project runs
Research
Interviews with users, a look at your analytics and support tickets, and a review of the current product. We write down what we learned before drawing anything.
Flows and wireframes
The core tasks mapped step by step, then wireframed. We test the riskiest ones with a clickable prototype.
UI design
Visual design in Figma for every state a screen can be in: empty, loading, error and full.
Design system
Components, color and type tokens, and usage notes, matched to the components in code.
Handover
Annotated specs and a walkthrough with your engineers, or with ours.
Design that ships
A design only helps once it's built. At Fashion Nova, one of the top 3 stores on Shopify, our design work shipped as targeted UX changes alongside the engineering, on a store that launches hundreds of products a week.
Working in one studio means an engineer reviews flows before they're polished, and the designer stays involved while the product is built. Fewer things get lost between the design file and the app.
When a design system is worth it
Once more than one person designs or builds screens, small differences pile up. A design system fixes that with shared components and rules. We start from what your product already has, keep what works and document the rest, instead of starting from a blank file.
What you get
Research summary
Who your users are, what they're trying to do and where the product gets in their way.
Flows and wireframes
The core tasks, mapped and wireframed before any visual polish.
Clickable prototype
A Figma prototype to test with users or show to investors.
UI design
Web and mobile screens with every state designed, following iOS and Android conventions.
Design system
Components, tokens and usage guidelines your team can extend.
Developer handover
Specs, assets and a walkthrough, so what ships matches what was designed.
What we've done for clients
Fashion Nova
Headless mobile commerce for one of Shopify's biggest stores
Our design work shipped as targeted UX changes alongside the engineering at Fashion Nova, whose catalog takes hundreds of new products a week. Shruti's other clients include Stanford University.

From a free call to the end of the second week.
A free 30-minute call
Tell us about the product, the people who use it and what isn't working. Share screenshots, a prototype or a live link if you have one.
A fixed price, or hourly
After the call we send a fixed-price quote for a clear scope, or agree on hourly work at $100 to $150 an hour. A defined project, like the core flows of an MVP, is usually a fixed price. Ongoing design support is hourly.
The first two weeks
- A kickoff to agree on goals and constraints, then we start recruiting users to interview.
- We review the current product, analytics and support tickets, and share a short research summary.
- First flows and wireframes for the core tasks, reviewed with you and an engineer.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only design, or build too?
Both. You can hire us for design alone, or have the same studio build it as a web app or a mobile app. Either way, designs are made to be built.
Who will we work with?
Shruti Mour, who leads design at Pulore. She works with you directly, from research to handover.
Can you redesign our product without starting over?
Yes. We start with the flows that cause the most trouble and ship improvements in steps, so the product keeps working while it changes.
Do you do user research?
Yes: interviews, usability tests on prototypes, and reviews of analytics and support tickets. We size the research to the decision you need to make.
What tools do you use?
Figma for design, prototypes and design systems. For research, video calls, recordings and the analytics you already have.
