iOS and Android
Mobile app development in React Native, for iOS and Android
This is for companies that need one app on iOS and Android without funding two native teams: commerce apps, consumer apps, and fitness or health apps that pull in data from wearables. We build in React Native and TypeScript, and handle the backend, integrations and store releases too.
We built the Fashion Nova app on Shopify's Storefront API, and we work on Hexis, the sports nutrition platform trusted by 40% of the professional peloton at the Tour de France.
React Native, and when to go fully native
React Native gives you one TypeScript codebase for iOS and Android, and it can share types and logic with a React web app. It can still reach native APIs like Apple Health and the camera when a feature needs them. If your app is mostly custom graphics or heavy on-device processing, fully native Swift and Kotlin may suit it better, and we'll say so.
Fitness and health apps
Fitness apps run on data from somewhere else: wearables, training platforms and the phone itself. At Hexis we connected Apple Health, Whoop and TrainingPeaks, and added photo, barcode and voice food logging with Gemini. Hexis is trusted by 40% of the professional peloton at the Tour de France and half of the Premier League.
The hard parts are rarely the screens. They're syncing data that arrives late or not at all, and getting sign-up and subscriptions right. When a client's app took sign-ups on the web instead of in the app, we tracked down an Apple Sign In bug that hit only people using Hide My Email.
Commerce apps
Fashion Nova is one of the top 3 stores on Shopify, with hundreds of new products every week. We built its React Native app on Shopify's Storefront GraphQL API, so products, collections and prices come straight from the store. There's no second catalog to keep in sync. Test coverage stayed above 70% on web and mobile, with BrowserStack for the app.

A Node.js API, or integration with what you have: Shopify, Supabase or your own services.
Integrations
Wearables and health data, payments, push notifications and analytics.
Sign-in that holds up
Email, Google and Apple sign-in that works across web and app, Hide My Email included.
Tests and device checks
Automated tests on the critical paths, and checks on real devices before release.

What we've done for clients
Fashion Nova
Headless mobile commerce for one of Shopify's biggest stores
We built Fashion Nova's React Native app on Shopify's Storefront GraphQL API, led search, collections and catalog work on Shopify Plus, and kept test coverage above 70% on web and mobile.

Rebuilding the platform behind elite sports nutrition
We work with Hexis's team on its React Native app and platform: Apple Health, Whoop and TrainingPeaks integrations, and Gemini for photo, barcode and voice food logging.

From a free call to the end of the second week.
A free 30-minute call
Tell us what the app should do, who it's for and whether a web app or backend already exists. Bring designs or screenshots if you have them.
A fixed price, or hourly
After the call we send a fixed-price quote for a clear scope, or agree on hourly work at $100 to $150 an hour. A first release with a clear scope is usually a fixed price. Ongoing releases and new features are usually hourly.
The first two weeks
- We agree on the core flows, the data each screen needs, and the integrations and native features involved.
- We decide how users sign up and pay: on the web, in the app or both.
- We set up the project and builds, and get a first build onto your phone through TestFlight or an Android test track.
Frequently asked questions
Should we build in React Native or native Swift and Kotlin?
React Native suits most business, commerce and fitness apps: one codebase, one team, and code shared with your web app. Fully native makes sense when the app is mostly custom graphics, heavy on-device processing or deep platform features.
How much does it cost to build a mobile app?
We charge $100 to $150 an hour, or a fixed price for a defined scope. Integrations and the backend often cost more than the screens. To see a range for your idea, get a rough estimate.
Can you build a fitness app that syncs with wearables?
Yes. For Hexis we connected Apple Health, Whoop and TrainingPeaks. We plan for late or missing data from the start, because wearables don't always sync on time.
Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes. We prepare the builds, submit them and work through review feedback with you. You also get test builds, so you can try each version before it goes live.
Can you take over an existing React Native app?
Yes. We start by reviewing the code, dependencies and release setup, and fix whatever blocks releases before we add features.
